Melissa Suter, PhD
Melissa Suter, PhD is Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School (HMS), working in the Pulmonary and Critical Care Unit and the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). She oversees the Pulmonary Optical Imaging Laboratory, which is working to develop and subsequently translate novel optical diagnostic tools for evaluating the pulmonary airways and lung. Her ultimate goal is to improve patient care through early disease detection, diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Suter earned her PhD in medical imaging–biomedical engineering at the University of Iowa, and subsequently joined HMS and MGH as a research fellow prior to starting her assistant professorship.
