The BA410E digital microscope from Motic (Richmond, BC, Canada) performs brightfield, phase contrast, polarized light, and fluorescence microscopy for use in education, clinical analysis, and research settings. Features include multicoated EC-H Plan APO lenses, a 6-place nosepiece to offer capacity for multiple imaging modalities, and a choice of a standard 30 W halogen lamp (upgradable to 50 W) or 3 W LED. A large-format stage (175 × 145 mm) and mechanical stage (80 × 53 mm) accommodate various sample sizes, while an optional 0/100% phototube directs all imaging light either to the viewer or the camera.
