The MacroRAM Raman spectrometer from Horiba Scientific (Edison, NJ) measures 17 × 17 in., allowing it to fit on most lab benches. Features include a standard interlocked sample compartment and holders for cuvette-based liquid measurements, along with a solid sample holder. A fiber port is also standard for probe-based Raman measurements outside the sample compartment, accommodating larger or irregularly shaped samples and immersion probes. It includes the company's 120 mm focal-length spectrograph with a single aberration-corrected concave grating with a flat field output, as well as a back-thinned scientific CCD cooled down to -50°C.
