New Imaging Technologies' (NIT) wide-dynamic-range (WDR), indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) shortwave infrared (SWIR) sensors and camera systems offered by Sierra-Olympic Technologies (Hood River, OR) deliver a dynamic range >140 dB per snapshot, without any processing or tone mapping. With uses in biomedical imaging applications, among others, the NIT WDR sensors' internal Fixed Pattern Noise correction offers high-uniformity images under all lighting conditions. Available in 640 × 512 (with 15 µm pitch) or 320 × 256 (with 25 µm pitch) pixel resolution, both operate in the SWIR spectrum from 900 to 1700 nm with high quantum efficiency. Power consumption is <1.5 W.
