QNP-L piezo nanopositioning stages from Aerotech (Pittsburgh, PA) are available in travel ranges from 100 to 600 µm for applications requiring precision linear motion, including microscopy, the life sciences, and medical devices. The stages are offered with or without closed-loop feedback: the closed-loop models use a capacitive sensor design that yields sub-nanometer positioning resolution and high positioning accuracy, while the open-loop models, without feedback, have use in applications where absolute positioning accuracy and repeatability are not required. Vacuum-prepared versions are also available.
