Arima 635 nm laser diodes in 9 and 5.6 mm TO housings from Laser Components (Hudson, NH) deliver 500 mW of output power. Both laser diodes achieve an efficiency of 1 mW/mA, have an emitter size measuring 50 µm, and have a hermetic housing with thermal conductivity equivalent to that of a C-mount housing. Uses include medical applications such as photodynamic therapy (PDT), as well as illumination applications.
