Indigo-Clean (www.indigo-clean.com) produces high-intensity narrow spectrum (HINS) light at an output of 405 nm. The light is absorbed by molecules in bacteria known to cause hospital-acquired infections (HAIs)—including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), C.difficile, and vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus (VRE)—which produce a chemical reaction that kills the pathogens in air and on all surfaces. The light fixture complies with all internationally recognized standards for patient safety.
