SPECIM LAUNCHES RAMAN IMAGING SPECTROGRAPHS


Oulu, Finland ∙ May 8th, 2009

SPECIM, Spectral Imaging Ltd., the world-leading manufacturer of hyperspectral imaging components and systems, responds to continuous market requests by extending its ImSpector Enhanced series of imaging spectrographs with high resolution imaging Raman spectrographs.

The drive for the development of the Raman imaging spectrograph came from the need for combining high light throughput, distortion free performance, and polarization free optical design. All these main requirements together with small footprint of the device, good image quality, and high spectral resolution were possible to achieve with fully transmissive optical design used in the SPECIM ImSpector series of imaging spectrographs. By combining the Raman ImSpector with a sensitive CCD camera, optimised objective lens, and required excitation line-laser, SPECIM customers are finally able to construct a truly imaging Raman measurement system. The imaging Raman spectrographs are available for several standard wavelength ranges from 500 nm up to 1000 nm for use with different types of excitation lasers.
