EMCCD microscopy camera for live cell imaging

The Rolera EM-C2 EMCCD microscopy camera offers fast frame rates essential to live cell imaging studies, and is enabled by a 40 MHz pixel clock rate. Up to 34.2 full-resolution frames per second can be read out and transferred over an 800 Mb/s implementation of the IEEE 1394b FireWire protocol. ~65% peak quantum efficiency across a broad spectrum and Peltier cooling to -50ºC minimize dark current for longer exposures. Variable exposure times range from 200 ms to 17.9 min.

Laser-scanning microplate cytometer

The Mirrorball laser-scanning microplate cytometer can detect low abundance antigens such as cell surface proteins due to high sensitivity. Mix-and-read assays perform hybridoma screening and cell-surface receptor expression. Proprietary low loss optics and red 640 nm laser excitation result in low autofluorescence for high signal-to-noise ratio and data generation.

Optical phantoms for tissue simulation

BioMimic optical phantoms reproduce the characteristics of light propagation (400-900 nm) in living tissue. Based on optical-quality polymers, the optical phantoms simulate a wide variety of tissue types, and include varieties with VIS-NIR absorbing dyes and TiO2 scatterers. Phantom preparation with a number of layers of differing properties is possible.

Fluorospectrometer for cancer and biomedical research

The NanoDrop 3300 fluorospectrometer enables studying DNA methylation events and polyamine-induced DNA G-quadruplex formations by microvolume fluorometry. Sample sizes as small as 1 μl are possible, using a patented, "cuvette-less" sample retention system. The fluorospectrometer can also run diverse applications, such as multiple fluorophores, Molecular Beacon Probes and fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET).

30-die, infrared LED array

The OD-850-30-030 30-die near-infrared (NIR) LED array delivers a narrow beam angle of 30° for night vision systems and skin therapy applications. The device has a peak wavelength of 850 nm (min. 840 nm and max. 865 nm) and a total optical power output of 16 W. Thermal parameters for storage range from -40° to 125°C, with an operating temperature range from -20° to 100°C.
