High-power violet lasers for confocal microscopy and flow cytometry by Coherent

The OBIS 405 LX violet laser from Coherent (Santa Clara, CA) provides over 250 mW of power at 405 nm for use in short-wavelength applications, including confocal microscopy and flow cytometry. The laser offers direct analog and digital modulation capabilities at up to 150 MHz, and can operate at up to 110% of maximum rated power. Its output can excite traditional dyes such as Alexa Fluor and Pacifica Blue, as well as several types of quantum dots.
