Siskiyou OGX Gimbal Mount

The OGX series optical mounts from Siskiyou Corporation (Grants Pass, OR) for miniaturized life science devices feature top adjustment, allowing them to be set without reaching into the beam path. A locking mechanism limits drift to less than 5 µm, even when exposed to mechanical shocks of up to 4G. The mounts are true gimbals, meaning that angular adjustments to an incident beam do not also result in later translation of the light path. They are available for both 1- and 2-in.-diameter optics, such as mirrors, beamsplitters, filters, and lenses. The use of fine-pitch (100 TPI) adjusters provides adjustment resolution as fine as 5.3 arcsec over a total motion range of 7° (for the 2 in. mount). Vacuum- and deep-ultraviolet-compatible versions are also available.
