New from Iridian: High Performance Dichroic Mirrors for Raman Spectroscopy

Ottawa, Canada – To complete the line of market-leading standard filters for Raman Spectroscopy, Iridian is now offering dichroic mirrors. These dichroic mirrors offer high reflectance (>95%) at the laser line and high transmittance (>95%) of the Raman signal.

In Raman spectroscopy, the desired signal (Raman scattered light) is significantly weaker than the excitation light, and thus high signal-to-noise optical filtering is critical. Typical Raman systems require laser clean up filters, edge pass filters and dichroic mirrors. Iridian now offers these three filter types for common Raman excitation wavelengths to allow the user to see more signal with less background.

Iridian has been producing Raman dichroic mirrors for OEMs for years and is now offering these high performance filters as standard products. Iridian also offers dichroic mirrors for fluorescence, flow cytometry and custom applications.
