Luminescent alkaline phosphatase assay kits from AnaSpec

AnaSpec (San Jose, CA) says it new assay kits--the SensoLyte Luminescent Alkaline Phosphatase, and SensoLyte Luminescent Alkaline Phosphatase ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay)--provide the industry's most sensitive method for detection of alkaline phosphatase activities. Both kits contain a chemiluminescent substrate capable of detecting enzyme activities in solutions and biological samples at the femtogram level. The kits' luminescent substrate promises high signal, low background, wide dynamic range, rapid results and good reproducibility. Each is able to perform 500 assays in a 96-well plate format. The kits target study of all human tissues, particularly in the liver, bile duct, kidney, bone, and placenta.

SensoLyteTM Luminescent Alkaline Phosphatase Assay Kits – Industry's Most Sensitive

Phosphatases play a key role in cell signal transduction, differentiation, and proliferation, with alkaline phosphatase catalyzing the dephosphorylation of biomolecules in an alkaline environment. Alkaline phosphatase is present in all human tissues, particularly in the liver, bile duct, kidney, bone, and placenta. The level and activity of alkaline phosphatase correlate with many physiological and pathological events, such as bone development and bone-related disease, renal disease, pregnancy, and drug intoxication. Alkaline phosphatase is widely used as a reporter for gene expression and for ELISA.
