Grant will enable new nano-opto center to develop, apply on-chip bioanalysis

JANUARY 28, 2009--The University of California, Santa Cruz announced plans to establish the M. Keck Center for Nanoscale Optofluidics, thanks to a new $1.5 million grant. The center will focus on further developing UCSC's optofluidics platform, which integrates nanotechnology and optofluidic silicon chips, and applying it improve biomedical analysis for toxicology, immunology, disease detection and diagnosis, and more.
